Journey to the Caribbean: Gabo's Magical Realism

This fall, in commemoration of Latin American Heritage Month and our unique cultural diversity, LAOLA and De Agua y De Espiritu Wellness will organize a unique Latin American cultural event to be held in the Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania.

This event will feature a seminar by world renowned writer and novelist, Eduardo Márceles Daconte. The seminar will focus on the Caribbean Region in Gabo’s Works (El Caribe de Gabo) and The Daconte Family in Gabo’s Literary Works (La Familia Daconte en la obra de Gabriel García Márquez).

In addition, the event will offer participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in a unique Caribbean experience that will include exquisite culinary foods, typical regional music, and meditation seminars transporting us to the place and time of Gabo’s creative process.

Join us as we explore and examine the sources and the people that inspired Gabo’s greatest works.
